WHAT IF – a poem written by Sabrina Bryant

WHAT IF
What If Love
Were Like Rain
Tears well
Longing for
Just one dry
Spell ….
Cumulus clouds
Circle
Hovering
overhead
I try to fake it
But
I just can’t shake it ….
So here I am
Got to carry on
With my heart in
My pocket
soul on
Lock down
Stride
With a smile
And a whole Lotta
Time
To drench my
Thoughts
Yeah
Gonna be
Just fine
Because
what if
Love were
Like rain
Washing
Away the sadness
What if I
Stood beside you
In your time of
Need
What if its Gods’
Way
Instilling good deeds
What
If
Love
Were
Like
Rain
Wet from every storm
Hearts would
Never need
mending
Souls never torn
What if love
Were like rain
Sadness be a
Fiction and
Memories
Left
Unstained
