Propinquity – A Poem Written by Allahobhayo Dal

Written by Allahobhayo Dal

Since I meet you,
I have forgotten the nearer and dearer,
I have forgotten the long sleep,
I have forgotten the gulp of morning tea,
I have forgotten the view of the dawn
I have forgotten the cheep chirp of birds,
I have forgotten the fresh air at the riverbank,
I have forgotten the green grass of the meadow,
I missed the scenario of sunrise,
I skipped the morning walk,
I bypassed the shower of the fountain,
I neglected all my favourite apparel
I ignored all my assignment,
Your propinquity made me mad,
Your propinquity separated me from my optimism.
