“Come to Me”

by Chelley Rice

“Come to Me”

In the Obsidian is where I am at home
Quieting my soul’s deep need to roam
I find comfort in the blakk of my mind
It’s free from the flowing sands of time

Those who would care to join me there
Will find I am full of empathy to spare
Love the insulation between my bones
Smithereens to every last heart of stone

I do appreciate the darkside of the light
Because my mother was born from night
Do knot fear what you cannot now see
Walls may need crumbled to set you free

My limbs of love will hold onto you tight
To protect you from this life’s hot knife
I wear no facades I am merely just me
Can’t you see that we were meant to be?
