Birds of Dreamland – a poem written by Shakil Kalam

Birds of Dreamland

The birds of dreams fled
In an unknown village far away
Garden of Amarnath is very noisy
I stood alone, absently
At the end of the dramatic midnight
Legs like black cats
Silently get off their feet; In search of prey
To accumulate love
Only fighting for roses to the masses
Behind the bushes
The siren sounds, the green light goes on
The train of love running towards destination.
The rebellious birds of the arranged garden
Became engaged in loud chattering
The river of the heart tied in the thread less garland
They will celebrate their wedding night in a floating boat
